Darker Than Black Season 1 720p Blu-ray

This isn’t really a ‘BSS’ release as it was done only by myself, but I figured I would post it here anyways. This is season 1 encoded directly from the blu-ray with both the Japanese and English audio. I used global tags and editions in order to make it simple to switch to one or the other. Subs are from Sudo with some corrections for terms from R1 subtitles. The typesetting uses some of the new features of vsfilter so it is best viewed with the latest CCCP.

    Thank you! I’d love to see someone do this with Fullmetal Brotherhood when they dub it and release it on BD. I loved the dub for Fullmetal S1 and the sub. I hope they do something like this with the first season too but I doubt it.

    I would have done 1080p as well, but I consider the original BD to be an upscale at 1080p, so it’s not really worth it in my opinion.

    Awesome. I also fairly enjoyed the dub so that’s a nice addition.
    Ps. Yes, looks like this show was produced at 720p. 1080p is yet another upscale job. I guess it must be REALLY expensive to animate a series at 1080p since only a small handful have been to date.

    Yes both the Japanese and English tracks are 5.1 AC3.

    You don’t need to do anything, those are just for picky people who like their copies to be perfect. As it is the lines fixed aren’t that big of problems. But yes they aren’t muxed already.

    700mb/ep seems ridiculous,. I have the original DtB HDTV release by Shinsen-subs/syndicate, and at 170mb/ep they were able to maintain an HDquality release despite the small file…. BUT AGAIN! after downloading the first few eps released by BSS/CEB? I can now honestly say “Another reason redownload/rewatch DtB S1″,..DtB in Blu-ray HD quality is very tempting (dual audio is a bonus, but of course I prefer the jap audio with subs).
