Seriously. Let’s not forget the great series that Kenichi Kasai has directed: Honey and Clover, Kimikiss Pure Rouge, Major, Aoi Hana . . .

It makes you wonder why they switched to Chiaki Kon in the first place. Nodame S1 was great because he actually took the time out out for story and character development. Nodame S2 was just a patchwork quilt of “exactly how much of the story can we condense into as little episodes as possible”.

I get the vibe that Chiaki Kon is treating the Nodame anime adaptations as no more than a treat for the manga readers as opposed to a followup for those who started off with the anime.
