Darker Than Black – Gaiden BD & Darker Than Black S2 – 03 BD
Delicious, delicious Blu-ray. Episode 03 uses ordered chapters as the earlier episodes did. Enjoy!

I found the lyrics for the ending song of Darker than Black Gaiden and translated it here. Lacking a title and artist though.

@Negi:
CoreAVC 1.9.5 needs to be upgraded–it does not support weighted p-frames (which is not a “special” feature–it’s in the spec, so technically CoreAVC 1.9.5 is “broken”). CoreAVC 2.0.0+ should work just fine.

Ah, and sorry. The decoder errors are obvious in the very first scene.

Coreavc pro 1.9.5. I’ve tried it with and without deblocking, acceleration, etc in MPC-HC, MPC(Gabest), WMP. This happened with DtB Gemini episode 12 and the OVA ep here.

@Negi:
Need more info than that.
What times? What episode? What player? What version of CoreAVC? Are you using any form of hardware acceleration?

There are decoding errors with coreavc.

Great quality rip. Is there a date for the next volume yet? That OVA was as good as the original series IMHO. Totally excited for more now.

Will you guys be subbing the preview for the 2nd OVA?

@somebody:
Indeed, the streams from the blu-ray are 1080p. However, they appear upscaled beyond 720p (that is, if you were to take an image at 1280×720 and resize it to 1920×1080 you wouldn’t be able to see a difference between it and the original 1920×1080), so I chose 720p for release.

Um, just to confirm… I thought Blu-Ray episodes are 1080p. The episode you guys released was a 720p.
