Gee look at the time it appears to be nearly mid April!

As usual if you want to discuss Hockey playoffs with a bunch of weeaboos come to #BSS on Rizon. Don’t bother if you’re a Vancouver fan though.

A good number of people have been asking about Unicorn 3 and it has been getting pretty annoying so I figured I would make a post.

1) Yes, I will be encoding and releasing Unicorn 3.
2) No, It is not out on Blu-ray yet.

The Blu-ray is relased on April 7th, so please have a little patience.

It’s been nearly 3 years since this was released on dvd volume 4 and over a year since we released specials 2 and 3 so I’m really glad I can finally release this. Big thanks to Kokizzzle for the translation. Let’s hope we’ll see a continuation of the anime sometime in the future.

Translation is nearly finished so MAYBE there will be a release in the next 24 hours 48 hours, no promises.
Update 3:
Translation and timing are done along with first editing pass. After another quick pass and typesetting it will be released, so eta is later today.

After many, many technical problems and hiccups here is the release at last. No comments on the plot of the movie, though some have found it pretty bad, but at least the visuals should be nice.
Also don’t bother with the 1080p unless you have a recent pc and have a good setup, I will be deleting comments complaining that it doesn’t play properly.

Some typos have been fixed in the script that were pointed out by fizzmaister in the irc channel. If you know more be sure and leave a comment and I’ll update the script in the repository. And no, differences from the official subs aren’t errors so please don’t point that out, there has been a lot of buzz about that on /m/ already.

Well after a long wait we finally have this movie in decent quality!
We decided to stick with our camrip subs as the default track after catching quite a few errors in the official translation. The official subs are included for those interested for whatever reason as track 4 in both mkvs. The size is quite large but you need to realize that this movie is 2 hours and 10 minutes long and has quite a few action scenes and I for one prefer having more then needed where visual quality is concerned. Both files play perfectly on my PS3 after running through mkv2vob so there is that option for playback as well if your computer can’t quite keep up (and you have a ps3, obviously). Movie 2 is scheduled for theaters in 2012, so who knows when that will be out on Blu-ray. Rest assured however, that we will be sure to sub it for you if we are still around then (big if).
